Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for education

Yes, you need to show your appreciation to your parents and teachers for the education that you received. Education is free but quality education depends on how much your parents want it for you, how hard your teachers work, and how much time you put into it. You can receive FAPE (free and appropriate public education) but if your teachers aren’t going that extra mile, you may not get all that you need if you have any learning differences. If you are a parent of a special needs child, remember that you are their first teacher, their best advocate, and their support system. We as educators thank you for allowing us to be part of your child’s team!
